How to Get Ancient Technology in Palworld

Ancient Technology is one of the most important progression systems in Palworld. It unlocks powerful items that regular Technology Points cannot, including the Grappling Gun, Sphere Launcher, Electric Furnace, and Incubator. This guide covers everything about Ancient Technology Points and Ancient Civilization Parts.

What Are Ancient Technology Points?

Ancient Technology Points are a separate currency from regular Technology Points. They are earned by defeating bosses and are used to unlock the right side of the Technology tree. Each unlock costs 1-5 Ancient Technology Points.

How to Get Ancient Technology Points

1. Defeat Tower Bosses (Best Method)

Each Tower Boss gives you Ancient Technology Points when defeated for the first time. You can also re-fight them in Hard Mode for additional points.

• Zoe & Grizzbolt: 3 Points (First defeat)
• Lily & Lyleen: 3 Points
• Marcus & Faleris: 5 Points
• Victor & Shadowbeak: 5 Points
• Bjorn & Bastigor: 5 Points

Total from first defeats: 21 Ancient Technology Points

2. Defeat Alpha Pals

Alpha Pals are the larger, boss versions of regular Pals that spawn at fixed locations on the map. Each Alpha Pal drops 1-2 Ancient Technology Points on first defeat.

• There are over 30 Alpha Pals on the map
• Each gives 1-2 Ancient Technology Points
• Alpha Pals respawn after a few in-game days, but only the first defeat gives points

3. Defeat Raid Bosses

Raid Bosses (summoned at the Summoning Altar) drop substantial Ancient Technology Points. These are the hardest challenges in the game.

• Bellanoir: 5 Points
• Bellanoir Libero: 8 Points
• Xenolord: 8 Points
• Xenolord Ultra: 10 Points

4. Oil Rig and Dungeon Bosses

Endgame dungeons and the Oil Rig also provide Ancient Technology Points from their boss chests.

• Oil Rig Boss: 3-5 Points per clear
• Endgame Dungeons: 1-2 Points per dungeon

Ancient Civilization Parts

Ancient Civilization Parts are a crafting material used to build Ancient Technology items. They are also dropped by bosses.

• Tower Bosses: Drop 10-20 parts each
• Alpha Pals: Drop 5-10 parts each
• Raid Bosses: Drop 20-30 parts each
• Dungeon Bosses: Drop 3-5 parts each
