Published: August 16, 2026 ยท Updated: August 16, 2026
Palworld features five Tower Bosses that serve as major story milestones. Each boss has unique mechanics, elemental weaknesses, and recommended level requirements. This guide covers every Tower Boss, including recommended team compositions, weapon loadouts, and fight strategies.
1. Zoe & Grizzbolt (Electric)
Recommended Level: 15-20
Location: Rayne Syndicate Tower (Starting Area)
Element: Electric
Zoe and her Grizzbolt are the first Tower Boss you will encounter. This is a straightforward fight designed to teach you the basics of boss mechanics.
- Weakness: Ground-type Pals (Grizzbolt is Electric)
- Recommended Pals: Rushoar, Gumoss, or any Ground-type Pal. Even a few Foxparks can help.
- Strategy: Stay mobile and dodge Grizzbolt's charge attack. The boss telegraphs its electric AoE with a red circle on the ground โ roll out of it immediately. Bring a bow or crossbow and keep your distance. Throw out your Pals and let them draw aggro while you attack from range.
- Rewards: Ancient Technology Points, Old Bow Schematic
2. Lily & Lyleen (Grass)
Recommended Level: 25-30
Location: Free Pal Alliance Tower (East of the map)
Element: Grass
Lily fights alongside her Lyleen, which uses healing and area-of-effect Grass attacks. This fight requires sustained damage output.
- Weakness: Fire-type Pals
- Recommended Pals: Foxparks (fully upgraded), Arsox, Vanwyrm, or any Fire-type Pal. Bring 4-5 strong Fire Pals.
- Strategy: Lyleen heals itself periodically, so you need high burst damage. Use Fire-type attacks to interrupt the healing animation. Dodge the spore clouds that Lyleen releases โ they cause poison and slow. A fire bow or fire arrows are highly effective.
- Rewards: Ancient Technology Points, Old Bow Schematic, Lily's Spear
3. Marcus & Faleris (Fire)
Recommended Level: 35-40
Location: PIDF Tower (Desert Region)
Element: Fire
Marcus rides Faleris, a fast and aggressive Fire-type boss. This fight tests your ability to hit moving targets.
- Weakness: Water-type Pals
- Recommended Pals: Fuack, Celaray, Surfent, or any Water-type Pal. Bring a water-element weapon if possible.
- Strategy: Faleris moves constantly and uses dive-bomb attacks. Stay under it to avoid its ranged fire attacks. When it flies up, prepare to dodge โ it will either dive at you or unleash a fire AoE. Water Pals wearing down its fire shield significantly reduces its damage output.
- Rewards: Ancient Technology Points, Refined Metal Bow Schematic
4. Victor & Shadowbeak (Dark)
Recommended Level: 45-50
Location: PAL Genetic Research Tower (Lategame Area)
Element: Dark
Victor and Shadowbeak are the penultimate boss. Shadowbeak has devastating Dark-type attacks and the highest damage output of any Tower Boss.
- Weakness: Dragon-type Pals
- Recommended Pals: Relaxaurus, Relaxaurus Lux, or any Dragon-type Pal. Bring high-level Pals (45+) with good defense.
- Strategy: Shadowbeak has an attack pattern where it teleports and strikes from behind. Listen for the audio cue โ when you hear it, immediately roll. The boss also has a dark beam attack that deals massive damage in a line. Stay to its side and circle around. Use Dragon-type Pals to deal double damage. Bring plenty of healing items and revival potions.
- Rewards: Ancient Technology Points, Legendary Assault Rifle Schematic
5. Bjorn & Bastigor (Ice)
Recommended Level: 50-55
Location: Sakurajima Tower (Endgame Area)
Element: Ice
Bjorn and Bastigor are the final Tower Boss. Bastigor is a massive Ice-type Pal with devastating AoE attacks and a second phase that changes its attack patterns.
- Weakness: Fire-type Pals
- Recommended Pals: Jormuntide Ignis, Blazamut, Ragnahawk, Suzaku. Maximum level recommended.
- Strategy (Phase 1): Bastigor uses ice breath and ground slam attacks. Stay at mid-range and bait the ground slam, then attack while it recovers.
- Strategy (Phase 2): At about 40% HP, Bastigor enrages. It gains new attack patterns including a full-room ice storm and rapid charge attacks. Use the pillars in the arena for cover. This is a battle of endurance โ bring 10+ high-level Fire Pals and use them strategically. Swap injured Pals out before they faint.
- Rewards: Ancient Technology Points, Legendary Rocket Launcher Schematic, Bastigor's Armor
General Tips for All Bosses
- Prepare for the fight: Stock up on healing items, ammo, and Pal spheres before entering. You cannot leave mid-fight.
- Level advantage matters: Being 3-5 levels above the recommended level makes a significant difference. Consider grinding if you are struggling.
- Upgrade your armor: Higher-tier armor (Metal, Refined Metal, or Pal Metal) dramatically reduces incoming damage.
- Use the environment: Each boss arena has obstacles and pillars you can use for cover. Learn the layout before the fight.
- Bring backup Pals: Always carry a full team of 5 high-level Pals. Boss fights are long, and you will need the reserves.
